Description

Treat the birds that visit your yard to this elegant Pedestal Bird Bath in a bronze finish. Constructed of weather- and frost-resistant resin, this birdbath features a lovely scrollwork base. An interior and exterior pattern on the bowl adds visual interest to the bird bath and helps texture the bowl for smaller songbirds.

The bowl's depth is perfect for smaller birds to bathe, and larger birds will enjoy a refreshing drink. Rectangular holes along the edge of the bowl allow any size bird to perch comfortably.

The pedestal and base easily screw into the bowl for quick and easy assembly, and three included ground pegs add stability to the birdbath. Assembly required. Dimensions: 20 diam. x 28H inches.

Comments about Gardman Antique Bronze Pedestal Bird Bath:

This isn't really resin - it's plastic. I purchased both the verdigris and bronze versions of this for the garden area in our new backyard. The birdbaths are very light, which is fine if you live in a place that gets no wind and/or is sheltered from the wind. These were constantly being blown over by the spring and summer wind gusts we get in Eastern Colorado. The stakes used to anchor the birdbath to the ground can't take the 30-60mph wind and do nothing to keep the thing upright. While cleaning the birdbath with the 'jet' setting on my hose's spray nozzle, I noticed that the bronze 'finish' was being stripped away, leaving the black plastic exposed. In addition, the sunshine at 5300 feet above sea level will weaken fiberglass, plastic and vinyl objects (such as fencing, pots, birdbaths, etc.) over the course of a season. A hailstorm in June punched several large holes in the verdigris one, rendering it only fit for the scrap heap, and another hailstorm chipped two pices off of the rim of the bronze on in late July. I think, for one year, this would suffice as a birdbath if kept in a nice, safe, windless, covered, enclosed area. Otherwise, you'll be lucky to get one summer out of it. I tossed both by September and brought home a heavy concrete birdbath my parents had at their place, with a tiltable basin. Nothing else will stand up to the wind out here.

Comments about Gardman Antique Bronze Pedestal Bird Bath:

This is a very durable bird bath that we put outside our chain link fence for the birds to use. They'd been using our dogs' water bowl so it was time to get the birds one of their own. :-)

It looks great; the ground stakes hold it in place; but it could be about 4-6 inches taller for my taste.

        Well worth the $$.

Comments about Gardman Antique Bronze Pedestal Bird Bath:

When I installed it the first time I used a level to make sure it was level. By evening time the bowl was not level. I re-installed the next day and made absolutely sure that it was level. By mid day the water was favoring one side. The only thing I can figure out is that the sun was causing the bowl to warp during the heat of the day

This bird bath was supposed to be for all the finches we feed in our yard, but not one of them has tried it or even perched on it.
