We never imaged what fun we would have adding a water element to our garden. Birds seem to share water better than food, and simple water makes less mess and obviously costs less than bird food. We have a deep granite water bowl that the birds on our patio have been loving. But only the larger birds could actually bathe in it. Also we have a Zen theme and a small space. So this bird bath fit all our needs: small birds can bathe, the size and style matched what we wanted. Since we had a gang of birds already visiting, the birds came as soon as we put it out. The nice ledge seemed good for them to stand on, and all the birds timidly tried their new toy out. It was a great success. It is small and shallow as everyone explains. Its also cute and attractive and we have no regrets. Fed Ex left the 50 pound box at our door and I was able to get in it our apartment with little effort. I would love to send this to my mom but am concerned if she could manage the package so that is something to consider. We choose the greenstone stain that is pictured w/the product and are happy with it. [...]

The birdbath looks great sitting on a gravel area in the yard. I wish it was larger, but I knew the size before I purchased it so can't complain. Very nice product, love the color.
